Between Chinese and English

What makes Chinese language different from English language? Chinese language is very unique. It has a lot of characters more than those in Japanese language. There are around 500 characteristics of Chinese language that must be remembered if you want to master this language. It is very difficult since it has difficult characters, too. There are four things that we have to remember when we want to learn it. First, it has three kinds of characters divided into radicals, traditionals, and simplified. Second, there are four tones how to pronounce the words. If we are wrong in pronouncing it, the meaning will be different, too. The first tones is fei. It is a flat tones (-). So, when you want to say the words, just relax. You do not need a lot of efforts to do it. Second, chang. When you want to spell it, so the tones should be pronounced from the low tones to high tones (/). Third, you. When you say the words, so the tones should be shaked (~). Four, qu. How to pronounce it is the opposite of chang. We have to say it from high tones to low tones (\). It is the hardest one. When people pronounce it, they look like angry. Third, Chinese language has no articles, case, plural, and tenses. Fourth, the word order of it is whole to part. So, when you say something, say about the whole thing first, then say the part of it. The example of it when you write the date. In Chinese language, you have to write first from year, month, and then date (2006 , 5 , 9 ). It is really different with Indoenesian’s language style. The second word order is first do first say. What you want to do, so you must directly say it. For example, if you say in English, “I want to eat at home,” it will be different when you say in Chinese. It will become, “At home, I will eat.” Perhaps, this is the characteristic of Chinese people that they do not like too many basa-basi. The last word order is say about topic first then your comment. When we ask something about price, we will say in English, “How much is it?” In Chinese, it will be, “Zhe ge, duo shao qian.” “Itu harganya berapa?” bukan “Harganya berapa itu?” Are you interested in studying Chinese language???
